In brief

Understand what a serum can do for the lengths, when nutrition matters and why shedding or thinning needs a different assessment.

A serum cares for the hair you see. REVIVAL also considers where it begins. When hair feels finer and volume diminishes, your ritual can look beyond the lengths. SKINĒDIT developed REVIVAL around follicle biology: AnaGain™ Nu for its hair-cycle approach, paired with KeraSyn™, its complex devoted to the fibre, scalp and normal pigmentation.

A less substantial ponytail, a more visible parting, hair that seems to have lost its body: these changes call for a considered response. REVIVAL connects the visible strand with its formation beneath the skin in one oral formula. Here is what distinguishes that approach from a serum for the lengths, and how it fits into your routine.

Hair appears at the surface. Growth begins in the follicle.

At the base of the follicle, the dermal papilla is a small group of cells that exchanges signals with neighbouring cells. It helps regulate the growth cycle and the formation of the fibre. This biology, before the hair becomes visible, informs REVIVAL’s formulation.

A conditioning serum primarily works on the existing strand: softness, shine, slip and easier detangling. A nutritional approach follows a different timeline, that of the hair being formed. Both can have a place in your ritual. Serums designed for the scalp have purposes that depend on their individual formulations.

Explore the anatomy in our dermal papilla guide.

REVIVAL: a formula designed from root to fibre

REVIVAL brings together two complementary elements: AnaGain™ Nu, a pea-sprout extract selected for research relating to the hair cycle, and KeraSyn™, SKINĒDIT’s complex combining soluble keratin and nutrients. Several dimensions of hair quality have a place within one protocol.

The hair cycle: AnaGain™ Nu

Growth alternates with transition and resting phases. AnaGain™ Nu occupies the cycle and signalling side of the formulation. Pea-sprout research includes an oral shedding study and a separate topical experiment on FGF7 and Noggin signals. The latter informs the ingredient rationale; it does not measure oral REVIVAL’s effect on the papilla.

The fibre: keratin at the heart of KeraSyn™

Keratin forms the structure of hair. KeraSyn™ combines soluble Cynatine® HNS keratin with selected nutrients. Zinc contributes to normal protein synthesis and the maintenance of normal hair. This attention to the material of the strand complements the focus on its cycle.

The scalp and normal pigmentation

Zinc and biotin contribute to the maintenance of normal skin; copper and selenium help protect cells from oxidative stress. Copper also contributes to normal hair pigmentation. These nutritional roles explain their inclusion alongside L-tyrosine and bamboo-derived silicon.

This is the thinking behind REVIVAL: bringing follicle biology and the nutritional needs of the fibre into the same formula, extending the ritual beyond the appearance of the lengths.

Ingredients studied in people

Two oral studies help explain the ingredient selection:

  • AnaGain™ Nu: less shedding in 95% of participants at eight weeks. This open-label pilot had 21 completers, no placebo group and used 100 mg of extract daily. Grothe et al.
  • Cynatine® HNS: hair tensile strength increased 5.9% from baseline at 90 days. The randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial enrolled 50 women and tested keratin together with vitamins and minerals. Beer et al.

These findings concern the studied ingredients and combinations, not a clinical trial of finished REVIVAL. The amounts cited describe the research interventions. Individual results vary.

Your ritual: care for the lengths now, follow growth over time

Keep the serum or conditioner that makes your lengths comfortable to style. To introduce the oral dimension, REVIVAL’s directions are two capsules daily with a glass of water. One bottle provides 30 days; three bottles make the 90-day ritual.

Choose a consistent time, then follow your hair with photographs taken in similar conditions. Growth calls for consistency: 90 days gives the ritual a framework, rather than a guaranteed regrowth date. Follow the labelled serving and avoid stacking several hair supplements with overlapping ingredients.

Frequently asked questions

Can I keep my hair serum with REVIVAL?

Yes, a suitable serum for your lengths can remain your step for softness and styling. REVIVAL brings an oral dimension to the ritual. If you use a scalp treatment, check the formula’s suitability with your healthcare professional.

Why focus on the dermal papilla?

It helps explain how the follicle coordinates growth. REVIVAL draws on this biology to combine an ingredient studied in a hair-cycle context with a formula devoted to the fibre and its environment.

Is REVIVAL vegan?

It is vegetarian, but not vegan: the capsule is plant cellulose and Cynatine® HNS keratin is derived from wool.

When should I seek advice?

Sudden, substantial, patchy or unexplained shedding, a painful or inflamed scalp, or progressive thinning warrants medical advice. Ask before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with medication or while under medical care. Biotin can interfere with some laboratory tests: tell your clinician and laboratory about your supplements.
